Anna K. Mitchell joined Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer in January 2018. Her practice focuses on general litigation and the defense of physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers against medical malpractice claims.
Anna joined the firm after working in New York City at a general commercial and construction transactions and litigation firm, Redmond Law PLLC. Anna has experience representing a broad range of clients in both state and federal courts, government administrative proceedings, arbitrations and mediations. She has advised clients on all aspects of construction matters from contract negotiation through project completion, including analyzing and litigating claims involving labor and employment and breach of contract disputes. Anna additionally has experience in banking and consumer law, commercial real estate, and post-judgment litigation.
Anna earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Montana – Davidson Honors College in 2008, Juris Doctor from Seattle University in 2011, and Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution (LL.M.) from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2012. During law school, she competed in the William C. Vis International Commercial Moot Competition in Vienna, Austria and mediated cases as part of the Cardozo Law Divorce Mediation Clinic. Anna has additionally served as Co-Chair of the New York County Lawyers’ Association Dispute Resolution Committee from 2016-2017, and presented at “What you need to know about ADR,” a New York County Lawyers’ Association CLE (2014), and “Law You Should Know: Arbitration Agreements,” on Nassau Community College Radio, WHPC 90.3FM (2017).
Anna is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Washington and New York.
Anna grew up in Missoula, Montana, and enjoys spending her time traveling, doing hot yoga, skiing, salsa dancing, and wine tasting.
