Brittany Ward joined Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer as an Associate in April 2020. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, employment law, and insurance defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Brittany practiced civil litigation and insurance defense at Mix Sanders Thompson PLLC, in Seattle. During law school, she worked in-house for a large healthcare company and spent a summer as an intern working on class-action employment lawsuits.
Brittany has obtained several favorable trial verdicts, both solo and with a trial team. She has also secured summary judgment on behalf of businesses and individuals, and is experienced in handling Equal Employment Opportunity charges, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and advising small businesses on employment matters. Brittany was recently selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, a distinction awarded to less than 2.5 percent of attorneys statewide.
Brittany is a Seattle native, graduating with honors from both the University of Washington and Seattle University School of Law. In law school, she was a Lead Article Editor on the Law Review and competed in negotiation and oral advocacy events.
Legal activism has remained on the forefront of her interests. To that end, she was involved in analyzing and reforming King County’s human-trafficking policies during law school. Since obtaining her bar license, Brittany has represented clients, pro bono, in both immigration and eviction matters. She is a member of the University of Washington’s Law, Societies, and Justice alumni board and remains active in the school.
In her spare time, Brittany reaps the benefits of living in the great Pacific Northwest. She is an avid runner, hiker, and skier, and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two black cats.
