Danielle Smith joined Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer as an Associate in January 2021. Her practice focuses on general civil litigation. She is licensed to practice law in Washington and New York.
Prior to joining the firm, Danielle worked as a criminal defense attorney at Allen, Hansen, Maybrown, & Offenbecher, P.S. handling a variety of complex cases in state and federal courts. Danielle also served as a Law Clerk in the Office of Staff Counsel at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, where she wrote advisory memoranda and draft opinions on a variety of civil and criminal matters for panels of appellate judges. While in law school, Danielle worked at the New York County District Attorney’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
In 2005, Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Political Science and World Religion Studies from Lehigh University. Prior to attending law school, Danielle worked in public relations in New York. In 2012, she graduated magna cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review and was a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Council. She also received the Citation of Excellence in Criminal Law.
When not at work, Danielle enjoys traveling, having been to thirty-three countries, as well as cooking new cuisines, photography, yoga, and spending time with her dog. She also serves as a board member of an international non-profit organization.
