John O’Meara joined Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer as an Associate in the Fall of 2020. His practice focuses on all phases of litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, John practiced law on behalf of individual plaintiffs and classes of plaintiffs in personal injury and employment discrimination cases. He honed his writing, presentation, and advocacy skills under some of Seattle’s top trial attorneys.
John earned his law degree from Columbia Law School in New York, where he was a two-year member of the prestigious Challenging the Consequences of Mass Incarceration Clinic, and he was the founder of a trial-spectating club. John was selected as a Columbia Law School Class Marshall prior to graduation in recognition of his contributions to his cohort and the Columbia community. A Seattle native, John earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies with a dual-track focus on Western European political economy and creative writing. He was recognized perennially on the school’s Dean’s List while studying abroad during seven quarters.
When not hard at work, John keeps his mind occupied with crossword puzzles, reading, and preparing meals up to his French wife’s lofty standards. He is an avid golfer but could never spend enough time to get a decent short game.
