Kerri Gettmann joined Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer as an Associate in May 2021. Her practice focuses on general litigation and insurance defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Kerri practiced civil litigation and insurance defense at the Law Offices of Mark Dietzler in Seattle. Prior to that she practiced with Smith Freed & Eberhard.
Kerri is a Seattle native. Prior to attending law school, she was a paralegal for over 20 years with plaintiff and insurance defense litigation firms. Thus, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her current position. She excels at strategic litigation to keep cases moving toward resolution, whether through courtroom litigation or negotiations.
She graduated magna cum laude from Washington State University in 2012, and cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2015. In law school, she participated in the Moderate Means Program, matching low- and moderate-income clients with attorneys who agreed to provide legal services at a reduced rate. She also competed in negotiation and oral advocacy events. She is a member of the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (WDTL). While attending law school, Kerri completed summer internships with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office – Torts Division (2013) and The Honorable Warren E. Jones with the Idaho Supreme Court (2014).
Kerri has participated in two trials to verdict as part of a trial team.
In her spare time, Kerri enjoys spending time with her family and their two dogs (Harley and Finnik), traveling, and taking advantage of all outdoor and cultural activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer including hiking, biking, skiing, theater, music, sports, and wine tasting. She is an ardent reader of fiction and non-fiction books from multiple genres.
